In the News

Tuesday 17th Feb 2009.    There is a chance that I may have finally located a source for captive bred Thamnophis ordinoides in Europe!  I've been looking for this species for the longest time!  I'll keep you posted.

Monday 23rd Feb 2009.  All my Garter Snakes are now out of brumation, and back in their usual vivaria and usual groups.  I have observed mating in my T. marcianus, T. radix, T. s. concinnus and T. s. tetrataenia.  It should be a good year!

Tuesday 24th Feb 2009.  The forum now has four separate sections; General, Breeding, Housing and Health Issues.  Please feel free to click the link on the left and browse or start a new thread in the relevant area.  The more you use it, the better and more sophisticated it will become.

Sunday 15th March 2009.  The Photo Gallery has been recently upgraded, so now members can add their own pictures or create new albums.... Thamnophis only please.  There appears to be an issue with the 'slide-show' feature, some pictures do not appear and must be viewed individually.  I'm currently working to correct this problem, I hope it doesn't spoil your enjoyment of the photographs.

Sunday 15th March 2009.  There  is now a new 'For Sale/Wanted' forum, where members may advertise Thamnophis for sale/exchange or request species they would like to buy.

Monday 23rd March 2009.  The slide show function in the photo galleries is now fully operational...... Have a look!

Monday 23rd March 2009.  I have found a UK based company willing and able to manufacture bespoke aluminium and glass outdoor reptile enclosures, ideal for Thamnophis, for delivery/installation anywhere in Europe.  They're not cheap, but they are 'state of the art'.   I'm saving my pennies!  Further details on request.

Saturday 11th July 2009. Plains Garters,  Thamnophis radix babies born today!

Sunday 11th October 2009.  Today was 'Snake Day' in Houten... and I missed it!  I really wanted to be there this year.  Apparently there were some rarely seen Thamnophis species on offer.
